Lise Fuller
Lise has been growing and harvesting plants and herbs for over 30 years. Lise has studied with many expert Herbalists over the years. She studied Botany and Nursing courses and served on the Board of the North East Herbal Association for several years.

Lise has conducted many workshops in the Northeast, including ones for Glens Falls Hospital and Mary McClellan Hospital. She taught about herbs at the SUNY Adirondack College’s Nursing program. She has worked as an Herbalist in a physician’s office and has a large Herbal Medicinal Garden at the SUNY Adirondack campus. 

Lise has recently published her book, Get Well, Be Well, Stay Well with Herbal Plants, and she has been honored as the 2019 Winner of the Thomas DeBaggio Book Award by the International Herb Association.

COVID19 REQUIREMENTS
  • All participants must wear face masks and provide their own
  • Participants should take their temperature before leaving for the program. If a participant’s temperature reads 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, they will be disallowed from participation in the program.
  • All participants will be socially distanced
  • Upon entry to the program, participants will have their temperature (non-touch) taken and a brief COVID-19 assessment completed
  • Participants will use hand sanitizer at entry/exit points and throughout the program, as needed
  • Only registered participants will be allowed to enter the programming areas.

Tick Prevention Workshop
  • Participants will make an herbal oil that deters bugs and ticks. Plants used include: wormwood, rosemary, thyme, southernwood, sage, and rue, along with the essential oil lemon eucalyptus. Additionally, Lise will demonstrate how to make an herbal skin liniment using: plantain, comfrey, jewelweed, sweet fern, and witch hazel. We will also discuss the use of French green clay to draw out bites, use of the tick spoon, and the plants: cat’s claw, sweet annie, and rock rose, in the treatment of tick problems.
  • Students will take home a Tick Kit: herbal oil, bug bite liniment, French green clay, and directions booklet.

Herbal Protection and Prevention
  • Lise will go into depth about protecting yourself with specific herbal plants and remedies to prevent colds and flu. She will demo how to make elderberry syrup and garlic honey infusion and will discuss the herbal plants that contribute to a healthy body and a strong immune system.
  • The plants that will be discussed include: echinacea, garlic, elderberry, and nutritional herbs, a special category of plants called Adaptagens herbs.
  • All materials and supplies are included.
